Marlon Richmond was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. He attended General Wolfe Elementary and Sir Charles Tupper Secondary schools. He subsequently went to Langara College and the University of British Columbia, where as of January 2004 he is majoring in Geography (B. Sc).

Marlon Richmond has previously written for the Jewish Western Bulletin, The Tupper Gang eGroup, and unpublished term papers for college and high school. He has also been known to write phone numbers and obscene messages on the walls of numerous washrooms.

A cynic at heart, Marlon Richmond posseses a love/hate relationship with the media in all forms. Many speculated that the relationship will end with Marlon finally snapping and beating his TV set to shreds and throwing his computer out of a high window.

Politically, Marlon Richmond voted for the Marijuana Party in the 2001 provincial election and the Dance Party Party in the 2002 municipal election, primarily because he felt that they were the most honest during their campaignes. A life long independent, Marlon would vote on left wing party lines if forced to pick a side.

Marlon Richmond's occasional column will appear in the 'Perspectives' section at www.thecommentary.ca/perspectives.html.
