In wide ranging chat, Global National's Kevin Newman talked with Joseph Planta about the role of an anchor in television news in Canada and the United States, his role as an MS Ambassador for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, as well as what it was like interviewing Margaret Thatcher.

Kevin Newman began his career at Global in Toronto, and worked in their Ottawa bureau from 1983 to 1987. He worked at CTV, and then at the CBC hosting Midday. In 1994, he joined ABC News, where he anchored among other programs, ABC World News Tonight and Nightline. He also co-hosted Good Morning America. He returned to Canada in 2001 where he established Global National, which he's anchored since.

He is also a Peabody, Emmy, and Leo winner; as well as a multiple Gemini nominee. And, Kevin Newman is an MS Ambassador with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
