Vancouver comedian and performer Tom Chin talked with Joseph Planta about the Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre's 3rd Annual Asian Sketch Comedy Competition, Sketchoff!#$!!, which is on at the Roundhouse this Friday and Saturday night. The performers include three of North America's finest 'hyphenated-Asian' comedy teams: LA OPM, The Kupps, and Assaulted Fish. Take three teams of North America's finest 'hyphenated-Asian' comedy teams and have them compete with one another for a Rice Bowl and a People's Choy's Award, and you've got the makings of a hilarious evening. The 3rd Annual Asian Sketch Comedy Competition or Sketchoff!#%: Ha Ha HA! takes place this Friday, 27 May and Saturday, 28 May 2005 at the Roundhouse Performance Centre in Yaletown at 8.00 PM. The competitors are two-time winner LA OPM from Los Angeles, The Kupps, veterans from Second City in Toronto, and Vancouver's own Assaulted Fish.
