Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

This is the Planta: On the Line program here at THECOMMENTARY.CA.

Julian Sher is back to talk about his newest book, One Child at a Time: The Global Fight to Rescue Children from Online Predators. It's a gripping and engrossing book about crimes that put every child who uses the internet at risk. The internet has become a place where creeps who create and exchange child porn flourish. The pedophiles and predators meet, encourage and mentor one another, as they abuse countless numbers of children, including infants.

Sher deftly tells the stories of the abusers and the abused, as well as the many in law enforcement and big business working to stamp out these insidious and disgusting crimes. The book, $34.95 from Random House, also includes resources for parents. I spoke with Julian Sher when he was in Vancouver last week.
