Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

My guest now has just written a fascinating book, The Secret History of Dreaming. It looks at the role that dreaming has in our lives. That it's an influential and important one, that it is central to our survival and evolution. It also discusses 'active dreaming,' and the confluence of dreaming, coincidence and imagination. The author is Robert Moss; he was born in Australia where his fascination with the dream world began in his childhood. He also had three near-death experiences. He is a former professor of ancient history, a novelist, journalist, and independent scholar. His website is http://www.mossdreams.com. He speaks here in Vancouver at the Central Library, Friday 06 March at 7.30 PM. The book is published by New World Library. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Robert Moss; Good morning, Mr. Moss.
