BC Entertainment Hall of Fame president and former Vancouver City Councilor Elizabeth Ball talks to Joseph Planta about the latest group of honourees, and the induction ceremony this Sunday, 19 April 2009 at the Orpheum.

Next Sunday night at the Orpheum, the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame will inductee its latest group of honourees. Inductees include Michael Bublé, Nicholas Campbell, Wendy Gorling, Jurgen Gothe, Tom Harrison from The Province, Fanny Keifer, Terry McBride, Bill Reiter, Gabrielle Rose, and Max Wyman. The individuals honoured will be feted at the ceremony, and immortalised with a star on the Starwalk on Granville Street, near the Orpheum. As well, ten exceptional contributors to BC's entertainment legacy will be given the Pioneer Award. The new Pioneers include Jack Wasserman, Joy Metcalfe, Chuck Davis, and Babz Chula. Joining me now is the president of the board of directors of the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame, Elizabeth Ball. Herself, an inductee into the Hall, she is a former Vancouver City Councillor, and an independent producer and director and arts consultant. She was the founder of the Carousel Theatre Company, and has worked extensively in the theatrical world here and abroad. The ceremony at the Orpheum is Sunday, 19 April 2009 at 7.30 pm.
